Japanese precision, brought to Ireland.

Japan Nail Studio was created from my passion for Japanese nail care, product quality, and precise professional techniques.

Before becoming fully dedicated to nails, I studied Chemical Technology as an engineer and later completed my master’s degree in Nanoscience and Nanoengineering. My research focused on sunscreen formulation for UV protection, which gave me a deeper understanding of ingredients, formulation, surface science, and how products interact with the body.

Although my academic background was in science and engineering, nails became my creative passion. What started as a hobby slowly became my profession, combining everything I love: detail, colour, structure, product knowledge, and art.

I have always loved drawing and painting on paper, and nail work became another form of canvas for me — smaller, more delicate, and more personal.

While working as a nail technician in Asia, I became deeply fascinated by Japanese nail products and techniques. Their quality, precision, and attention to detail matched the way I naturally like to work.

Japanese nail care felt different to me. It was not only about making nails look beautiful, but also about respecting the natural nail, using thoughtful techniques, and creating a clean, refined finish.

I would describe myself as a perfectionist. Before I feel confident that my client will love the result, I need to satisfy my own standard first — and that standard is very high.

Japan Nail Studio was created to bring this approach to Ireland: a more thoughtful, precise, and quality-focused way to experience Japanese nail care, professional products, and education.
